Thanks To All Who Helped Valley Mission "Get Organized"

On January 22^nd and 23^rd, Kathryn McMillan and Teresa Barr of Clutter Conversions, LLC in Staunton led a group of professionals in a volunteer project to re-organize and de-clutter four areas within the shelter. On August 19, NBC29 News ran a story about a project currently underway at Valley Mission. Since March, various volunteers, both groups and individuals, have been helping to make the shelter more "homey" for it's residents. Working with Valley Mission staff, these volunteers have been painting and decorating the dormitory area, one room at a time. The results are attractive and inviting rooms, a wonderful improvement over the formerly stark environment. Read more...

On July 1st, Mr. Russell Rose, President of Commercial Banking at SunTrust Bank, Staunton, presented Valley Mission with a check for $1,500. The donation goes to help the work of the Mission to provide shelter, food, clothing and care to those in our area who are in need. Read more...
