Valley Mission Places ChaplainValley Mission is pleased to announce the placement of Pastor Beverly Robinson as our Chaplain. This is a new position, created in response to needs expressed by our residents and neighbors. The Chaplain's ministry is at the heart of Valley Mission's work. While providing for physical and material needs is vital, to truly be a refuge to people we must also help ease their internal and spiritual struggles. The Chaplain will foster community and fellowship as Valley Mission embarks on new levels of service. Pastor Beverly, who has been with Valley Mission for three years, is at home in her new position of Chaplain. An Ordained Minister, Pastor Beverly has extensive experience in this area, already serving in a similar capacity at Oak Grove Church and Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center. She has expanded Chapel services available, and also encourages community members and volunteers to become involved in our Chapel programs. Through spiritual assessments and counseling, Pastor Beverly will also work with individual residents to restore hope and spiritual wholeness to their lives. As in the past, all Chapel services are open to the public.
Current Program Offerings: 1. Chapel Service: Thursday at 6:00pm, Sunday at 5:00pm
Pastor Beverly has recently added a Children's Ministry Program that is offered to the children in shelter during the Chapel Services on Sundays and Thursdays. All volunteers involved in this program will be carefully screened to protect the children who participate.
