Buildings & Grounds Manager (full-time)
Valley Mission is seeking a F/T Buildings & Grounds Manager. Responsibilities include maintenance of the homeless shelter as well as those indoor systems at each thrift store not covered by each leaseholder. Systems include but are not limited to plumbing, electrical, food service, security, and HVAC. Position is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of supplies, as well as all janitorial duties at the shelter. Position has frequent interaction with shelter residents, including completion of daily chores. Responsibilities also include assisting with donations from the community and occasionally driving two agency vehicles, one of which is a box truck. Applicants must pass a drug screen, complete a criminal background check, and be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Previous experience in human services or residential setting preferred.

Valley Mission is a non-profit organization offering shelter, support, hope and God's love to the homeless. Basic needs of shelter, food, clothing and spiritual encouragement are provided to all.
Serving our community every day of the year, Valley Mission provides:
° Temporary shelter for the homeless, with 123 beds serving men, women and families.
° Laundry facilities, hygiene items, infant needs, and school supplies for shelter residents.
° Free meals to our shelter residents and to neighbors in need.
° Case management and referral services for shelter residents.
° Limited utility and prescription assistance for shelter residents.
° Vouchers to our thrift stores for free clothing for shelter residents.
° Pastoral counseling for shelter residents.
° Chapel services twice weekly, open to all in our community.
° Food boxes for needy families in the community at Thanksgiving.
