| The Mission's Thrift Stores provide members of the public a clean, well-run discount store. Each Thrift Store offers clothing, furniture, housewares, electronics, appliances, toys, books and more for a great price.
Our Thrift Stores serve three important functions:
First, the Thrift Stores are an important funding source for operation of the homeless shelter of the Valley Mission. All--100%--of the profits from Thrift Store sales go toward shelter operations.
Second, Valley Mission shelter residents and neighbors who qualify for assistance are provided vouchers for use at our Staunton store to receive needed items at no cost.
Third, thrift stores such as ours are an especially important resource to all the needy and displaced members of our community whether or not they turn to the Valley Mission itself for shelter and food.

Your donations of gently used, clean, and re-sellable items are encouraged and always welcome, for this is a way you can support the work being done at Valley Mission.
We can arrange the pick-up of large, heavy items in good condition and good working order. Please contact the Thrift Store closest to you to arrange a convenient time for pick-up of large items.
Contributions of goods are deductible as 'gifts-in-kind' for income tax purposes to the extent allowed by law. The Thrift Store staff are happy to provide tax receipts upon request. Only you can determine the value of your contribution.
